The Robins are constantly on the search for food for their nestlings now. As soon as either myself or Jenny go down in to that part of the garden they come to see if we are going to disturb some prey or better still, offer them a few mealworms. I have resisted the temptation to offer too many of those because I don't think it is too good for them to be too reliant on mealworms. However, as soon as one is offered the female mostly, will come and take it, hovering a couple of inches above my hand at times but as yet, she hasn't quite had the nerve to actually take one from my outstretched palm. The female has been coming right in to the polytunnel and searching around with no fear whatsoever and at other times she has will perched inches from me and remained there for minutes at a time.
