I had a great time photographing the Blue-tailed Bee eaters recently in Sri Lanka, I have been sorting through my images. I am particularly impressed with this image of a bird tossing the bee to turn it before swallowing. This is normal behaviour and I have taken several photos of this prey toss.

Bee eaters are very agile in flight.

I had placed this dead bush on the sand in the hope that bee eaters would use it and they did…. not only bee eaters but kingfishers too.
