I am fortunate enough to have realatives in South Florida which gives me the opportunity to visit most years.  For 20I2 I decided on January as my prefered month, that way I will be back home in the UK at the height of the migration and then breeding season. There are some good birds to be seen in South Florida in January. For example the Heron and Egret species are already nesting and I will enjoy photographing some of this activity as well as a few warbler species that spend the winter here. Ospreys are very common and I am looking forward to improving on photos previously taken. As well as that of course, it's always nice to walk along a sunny beach in the middle of winter. I am on the way to Manchester Airport today to fly out early tomorrow so check back regularly to see what I have been photographing.  Here are a few pictures to whet the appetite. I really like the family of "Dendroica" New World Wablers.
