I’ve seen two families of mallards in the Alphin Brook, most of today (Tues)a family of 10 ducklings has been opposite the cricket club so these are likely your original 12?
I’ve also just seen a Herring Gull at Exe bridges with a right leg ring marked “A2YY”, which has slipped down over his foot so he is effectively one-legged, I mention this as if it was ringed in this country the rings are too loose, (ring was white and about 2″ long).
