Just a little photo of the female Siskin in my garden today, these are almost daily visitors now. She was feeding on the niger which is only 3 feet from the kitchen window and this photograph was taken hand held through a double glazed window! Siskin
Yesterday I placed slices of apple and cotoneaster berry laden branches in to the apple tree. The Blackcaps have certainly enjoyed them and have been feeding constantly.

  1. Lovely detailed shot through the window. I’ve got a tiny niger seed feeder outside our window, no takers yet though.

Delighted to find your blog via a link on Paul’s recent posting re feeding apples to birds – I have some on obelisks. Great photos and chat about the garden. I’m off to add your link now. All the best 😀
