Ive been enjoying using a new lens – a 45-150 Olympus – in my garden photographing various insects, Hoverflies, Butterflies and Bees. It’s been quite rewarding and enjoyable with some great shots taken of Butterflies particularly. I have photographed Hummingbirds in the past with very high shutter speeds but who knows how fast you would need to be to freeze the wings of a bee in flight, probably 1/10000 of a second!! I think thats probably an impossibility, but I’m prepared to try it sometime.
