I haven't had time to look through to find the best photos from the really exciting encounter that I had yesterday. It really was a good result and now I know that I am getting the birds used to the idea of free offerings, I am sure I will have even more to show you in the days ahead. I have an idea to use the iPhone camera and a movement sensor app. which will use the great resolution. iPhones have a tiny lens and the camera will be able to be hidden away with just the relevant lens part of the camera exposed. Experiments are looking good. Imagine being this close to a Buzzard, they are very wary of course and this bird waited for 150 minutes on the telegraph pole above before it decided that it was safe and then down it came. Once down feeding it remained for more than 30 minutes so obviously very confident that everything was safe. From the safety of the caravan hide and various "peep" holes I was able to watch and photograph it without the bird being aware or being disturbed.
