I have been seeing plenty of Stonechats this week, mostly on the Pebblebed Heaths where they also breed, it’s good to know that they have had a successful winter. Despite the very wet and stormy weather it’s actually been quite mild and insects are easier to find of course when it’s not too cold. It won’t be too long now before they start to pair up and begin breeding. I have noticed that females are always much more confiding, consequently I photograph females much more often.
