Just before the bird was disturbed by a small child. Seconds later it flew high in to a tree calling as it flew. It then continued to "chatter" angrily from the top of nearby trees.

Good to meet you this afternoon at Bystock; I enjoyed our chat immensely whilst watching the Ring Ouzel at much the same time, plus the Wheatear and Stonechats (the female was present). Great photos of the RO with the worm in its mouth and tossing it – hope to see that in one of the magazines; these photos also show the bird’s plumage markings so well and the effect of the sunlight on its wings. A great experience, many thanks
