Just thought I should post these pictures taken with the new Tamron lens and close up of course as I was waiting for the Kingfisher to arrive this morning. it shows the bird  just about to leave the perch and then a split second later, in the air and flying off. I really do like to catch these in-flight moments and while I am on the subject of flight shots, the photograph of a Nuthatch in flight was nominated as "notable"  for Photo of the Week on Birdguides today.  This is my 26th "notable" photograph and 3 Photos of the Week also. Here's the Nuthatch photo.

………….and finally today I had a a visitor from  Nicuragua which means that I have now had visitors to the Blog from 151 different countries, quite amazing.
