This is the latest image from my “Photos in a soft box” project. Slow Worms are in fact legless lizards. They are reasonably common here in Devon and there are not many years when I don’t see at least one. I have them in the garden quite often and particularly when I had an active compose heap, a great place for them because of the generated warmth of rotting vegetation and the abundance of prey.
