This was taken late in the evening yesterday, a very atmospheric image. Today has been one of those rare days when the camera didn't even get out of the house, its just too wet with constant heavy rain all day long. I did visit the hazel-hide just to check the feeder and I sat watching the comings and goings. In the half hour that I watched I had visits from 7 species, all the usuals but a constant stream which was very interesting. The first baby Robin put in an appearance and Great Tit visits totalled 49, probably a pir and a large clutch of newly fledged youngsters.
This is an adult Great Tit who had somehow lost most of the feathers on it's head but they are growing back nicely.
