I decided to give the Dippers a rest today, things there are progressing as planned and until the eggs hatch in 10 days or so, there is not going to be a lot different to see and report. I decided to have a look along the Alphin Brook close to home and this proved interesting if not particularly exotic. I watched a Robin who was feeding on flies attracted to horse manure. I was trying to freeze the bird in flight and when I looked at the pictures taken I was pleased and very surprised to see that a bee had crept in to the picture. 5HAS0050aa

I also managed to get him flying as well.

Small Tortoiseshell

A Small Tortoiseshell, always nice to see. This picture was taken with a 500mm lens and this gives it a nice background and a very pleasing image indeed!
