At last I am starting to shake off the horrible stomach bug that I have had since last Thursday. Thankfully, this evening I just about started to feel a little bit better but not normal yet. Working on the assumption that if you are going to sit in the chair doing nothing for hours on end I thought I may as well sit in my hide and watch the Dippers. So off I went. The walk down the river wasn't too bad. I got myself tucked inside and spent the first hour or so doing domestics from the inside and by the time I had finished it was starting to take shape. It is a really cosy hide with a great view down stream and across to the adjacent waterfall, and very picturesque. I am sure it's going to give me great views of the Dippers once they start breeding. Today though, there was no sign of them for the hours that I watched. I was just packing up to come home when I saw this female Grey Wagtail making it's way upstream towards me.I took a few photos, just for the record really. Then on the walk back to the car and 300 or 400 yards from the hide, there they were again, both the male and female Dippers.
