I was up before dawn this morning, eager to take full advantage of the last few hours before we left for home. I drove out to the Everglades, specifically one of the first receational stops which can be accesed from the highway that disects the State and cuts through the wilderness.  When I had berecreationalen there twice previously I had seen a Kingfisher on both occasions and I was really ken to try and improve on the photos of this species already taken. I am glad to say that I had some success!   I followed this bird all around the parking lots and launch areas until eventually I managed to sneak up on him.
