Having been away up north for the last couple of days, I returned back to Devon yesterday and then went, just before dark, to my Kingfisher hide.  I wanted to check that everything was OK. unfortunately it appears that someone has been inside  my hide. Quite a cheek if you ask me. To be honest, the Blog has started to become abit of a dilema.  When I report, with photos, the presence of Kingfishers then the interest builds and I am then subject to a bit of disturbance. But I suppose that I will just have to get used to that and hope that  it doesn't get out of hand.  I am lucky that  the hide is, in the main, left alone and not vandalised at all.

Today I had a tremendous 30 minutes with her. I was in the hide for only 8 minutes before she put in an appearance. It was around 11 when I arrived. I had to leave it until then because of the sun being in the wrong place. It always amuses me that I get so excited about seeing her inspite of hundreds of close ups before.  She was fishing as I hoped she would be and frantically flying to and frow successfully catching fish as you an see.  At one point she was high up on a Bullrush before plunging down to catch a fish very near. She flew ontothenear perch to deal with it. Then she continued fishing, flying up stream and eventually disappearedout of sight. Some twenty minutes later she returned in the opposite direction, now down stream and landed on a rush again before being disturbed by a dog walker.
