These birds are so hard to catch "in-flight", but I keep trying! Every time I sit in the tiny hide by the pool they come in to drink on the wing, sometimes they bathe and at other times they are grabbing the surface flies.  Even though the pool is very small, it's incredibly hard to predict exactly where they are when you press the shutter which is essential if you are going to get your picture in focus, and also freeze the action with a fast enough shutter speed ……….. in short, it's hit and miss.  Today I almost did it but it's noticeable that the tiny fly in the shot is more in focus than the bird!
