Clamorous Reed Warbler a
After an amazing trip to North Queensland, rightly described as a bird watching paradise, I am back home in Exeter to carry on recording the great birds and wildlife here in Devon. I am though, glad to be back to decent internet connection, frankly my only gripe with Australia which really is an impressively wonderful place, but perhaps you have to travel to realise what you have isn't that bad after all.

Anyway, back to wildlife.  I am currently in the process of building a gallery of Queensland Birds which is obviously going to take quite a while to complete. I photographed more than 110 different species along with reptiles and marsupials. To have a look at the few species already catalogued click here.  The bird above is a Clamerous Reed Warbler an Asian and Australasian species which was quite noticeable in Queensland. I thought it would be interesting to compare to the Willow Warbler that  I photographed today. Dartmoor in June is always a special place and I really enjoy it every time I go and today was no exception. I went to try and photograph Whinchat and Redstart, both birds were hard to find today but I took exceptionally good photos of this Willow Warbler. It is an extremely well marked bird with lots of yellow which isn't always as noticeable. I am certain that I know where the nest is, this bird was carrying food back and forth.
