In Flight a

I've been trying, over the last few mornings, to get some Bee Eaters in flight.  Every morning at dawn the local cemetery is alive with Bee Eaters and while I am here I really am trying to take advantage of the great opportunities with this beautiful species.  I have pretty much got their behaviour sorted now and am confident that I will get even better shots than this if the weather stays bright and sunny first thing in the morning. This picture above is not at all doctored, the light is really as bright as this first thing in the morning, golden yellow and  a golden yellow background of drying foliage.  I have taken literally hundreds of portraits of this species as well.

Yesterday morning back in the garden I watched a sacred Kingfisher perched on the line post……. can you imagine having these in the garden, what a stunner.
