I have to confess that, since the 13th I have been in a bit of a trance really. At first it seemed as though everything was easy to cope with, but as the days went by, well lets say it didn't get easier after all. But today, there was a sense of normality in the air and I was back to my garden to photograph the comings and goings.  We had both a male and female Blackcap  today and I watched  her getting extremely bad tempered and defensive with a small group of Goldfinches who she didn't want anywhere near "her" seed, fat-ball and apple for that matter.  I do like these female Blackcaps, I am never sure if it is the same bird of course, I do feel that it probably is, but as she has been absent for many days now so it could be a different individual.  From my hide, I watched the usual protagonists come and go and there was a little bit more activity than usual which was good.
