Remote a
Believe it or not this is not an actual photo! It's a compilation of three others.  I wanted to see what a shot like this would be like because I have bought a wireless remote. This means that I can place the camera in any position that I think would get a good shot. I find  photos at water level  particularly appealing.  I positioned the camera feet from the perch and only inches above the water, in mid stream and on a tripod.  I  then took up my position in the hide and started to wait. I took a few shots of the perch with the remote control in  expectation of the Kingfishers arrival but she didn't turn up this evening.  I was pleased with the effect though and it enhances the picture to be at water level. I decided to play with the image and pasted a picture of  the Kingfisher taken previously to see what kind of shot I will get when it all comes together, which I am sure it will.

It's amazing what can be done and you would never know that this is not a genuine image. I wonder how many shots are mocked up like this without it being owned up to?  I did see the Kingfisher today by the way but she had another away day and didn't perch close to me.

The garden was also weird and I can only assume that we have had a Sparrowhawk back because the garden was ghostly quiet until a few sparrows and blue Tits visited very late afternoon.
