I had another good day out at my "new"venue yesterday and took a few nice photos after getting really close to a Curlew that has visited  all  three days, looking for small crabs to eat.  It's been interesting to see it feed, no point in that massively long beak when you can pick up little crabs as easy as he does.

I am very confident, that if  I continue to visit here I will eventually get within a few feet of this bird and then I should get some great shots as well.

Little Egrets don't present too many problems here in Devon because they are so easily encountered. They can be a bit "skittish" though and if they have any doubts about safety, well, off they go. But when they do get close they can give some great photo opportunities. Yesterday one flew in and paraded up and down the shore-line without realising that I was in the hide and I got a couple of beauties.

I didn't mention that I had seen a Kingfisher here the other day, I am sure that he will come within range very soon as well. It does amuse me when people tell me that they have never seen one before because, honestly, I see one almost on every bird outing that I go on. In all sorts of habitats as well, even on seashore here in Devon. For example yesterday evening at my hide, even though she didn't come and perch, I saw her on the concrete wall, so two different birds yesterday.
I almost forgot to post this picture of a Black-tailed Godwit pulling out a small Harbour Ragworm. how do they do it without breaking the worm in half, that's a mystery to me?
