It's been a rough couple of days since our return from Yorkshire. Firstly there was the tooth torture and my date with the Bulgarian Butcher and now,  well I'm sure it's just a cold,  but it feels more like I have a ton weight pressing on my chest. But being the stalwart I am  I still decided that I would be just as comfortable sitting by the river as sitting by the Tele!  So off I went and would you believe it, the Dipper was right there waiting for me, where I had wanted him.  Of course, I wasn't there yet and as soon as he saw me, well he left never to return today even though I sat there for a whole two and a half hours. I knew my camouflage was good because a sheep came for a drink only 3 feet away and didn't notice me, a Wood Pigeon was near and this Grey Squirrel was up and down a nearby tree.

That looks like a teat she has there, so I expect she has a drey somewhere with a baby or two.

It really is beautiful out there on the River  and I tried to capture some of that in this photo.  Quite a departure from my normal offerings but with the Dipper a no show, I had to post something!

So my outing was over and as I drove home and got near to Exeter with a cough and a splutter  making my head throb………. I got a flat tyre. (tire if you from the USA).  It never rains but it pours as we say. Nightmare, the car is stranded on the road somewhere about a mile away. But ass it's only worth £300, who cares?
