Believe it or not, I wasn’t supposed to be in the hide this morning. It was all do to the delivery of a new washing machine between the hours of 7 and midday! I had decided, as Jenny was doing a rare shift at the hospital, to give it a miss this morning. My body clock woke me at 7 though, and the morning was glorious and golden. Too much to resist I am afraid, so at 7.30 I was sat in the hide waiting for my beauty to arrive. I didn’t have to wait long, today she came with no fanfare and for the first 30 seconds, or who really knows, I had missed her. She had brought a massive record breaking minnow this time but she is a greedy girl and swallowed it down with very little fuss. I missed most of the photos of this because frankly I was still a bit bleary eyed and wasn’t quite ready! The light wasn’t really good in the spot that she had chosen so it was hard to get any good sharp photos anyway. After a bit she did her usual bathing and I did get this shot of her after just settling on the perch.
