Sticklepath is a very small village on the periphery of Dartmoor, 5 or 6 miles from Oakhampeton. It is picturesque and benefits from having the very pretty River Taw flowing right through. There are some lovely walks to enjoy along the river which tumble down through a wood with numerous waterfalls and pools to enjoy.
Three Butterflies: Peacock then Small Tortoiseshell followed by Large White. There were some interesting Hoverflies feeding amongst the Butterflies as well as another Hummingbird Hawk Moth and a Fritillary species which I didn't manage photos of.
This first one as a Syrphus species.
