Baby waggy

Baby Wag two

Yesterday late afternoon the weather brightened and I went to my brook hide to spend an hour or so. Quite quickly I had the pleasure of a juvenile Grey Wagtail that came to my near perch and stayed for a minute or so. I snapped off a few photos and one or two were worth keeping. Like I say often, apart from good light, with bird photography, the nearer you can be to the subject the better the detail and photograph.  It's good to see this young Grey Wagtail because  it proves, yet again, what a good environment the brook is for all sorts of wildlife and particularly birds. I also took the best ever shots of Sparrows, this time a really well marked male who seemed to be posing for me.
