It was extremely bright when I took these pictures, the sun is so very intense here in Florida and you need to make adjustments to your cameras settings if you are going to get any kind of picture whatsoever The Bald Eagle juvenile ( and if you are from the USA. yes that is how we spell juvenile in England), was the one I had seen the other day and I went back to see if I could see the adults. I did see one but at quite a distance, circling around me and calling. However, the youngster was another matter. We came upon it quite quickly and if I had realised it was there, just yards from me it would   have been quite something.  It left the tree with quite a commotion and settled on a a dead tree a little way down the track. I think it thought it was hidden but I had seen it perch so it was just a matter of getting as close as I could. As it turned out,  not as close as I would have liked. Never the less, it was a fruitful afternoon as we watched it for quite a while before it took to the air. These birds are twice the size of an Osprey and you need to se one close up and in the flesh to get a good idea of that.IMGP2873
Here is just a record shot of an adult taken at quite a distance and heavily cropped.
