Here is a dramatic series of photos taken the other day at Wakodahatchee Wetlands. This Tricolored Heron was one of a group nesting in a community rookery along with Ahninga and Cattle Egret. I concentrated on this bird for a while knowing that t was about to fly out and off it's perch. When the action happened I shot in burst and finished up with a really nice little series of the bird as it paused in flight to grab something off the surface.
