I had a look at the Brook and found some more Otter Tracks  yesterday, late afternoon and I guess they had been made the previous night. This was, and still is,  a big excitement. You could pretty much make out that the Otter that left them was moving quite quickly and his rear feet were placed in front of his front paws as he moved along.  You can see this in picture three. They disappeared in to the water on a concrete ramp. Also clearly seen are 5 toes, of course, dog has 4. I am very encouraged to find these fresh positive and conclusive signs which indicate the presence of an Otter on the brook within the last 24 hours. Dare I hope for a sighting or a photo, you never know and if I did see one it would pretty much be the best wildlife encounter of my life and any other life in the future for that matter! Seeing a Stoat or Weasel is very thrilling and that is at last a twice a year thing, so an Otter……….!!!!!!.
