A cold, wet and dreary day with little to excite me except the Kingfisher from the hide this afternoon. He suddenly appeared in front and tried to land on the perch in the strong wind but comically, he missed and had to do a regain before he landed and ate his fish. This shot is not my best, slightly blurred with camera shake. It was "hand-held" because the camera was obscuring my vision out of the hide. I tried it this way as an experiment. I won't be doing it again because it was not successful. While I waited, the Egret again walked up the bank towards me and the free Sprat offerings. Unfortunately though, a Black Headed Gull had got to the fish first and very grateful he was I'm sure.
