LE in flight
We had a massive amount of rain last night and consequently the brook is again very high with flooded banks and fast flowing coloured water. But never the less, I want to keep tabs an things and with that in mind I walked the length to see what was about. All the usual inhabitants were at home including, now, a pair of Ravens. The Green Sandpiper flew up and over as well as the Buzzard who seems to be getting even more used to me. I saw the Kingfisher both on the walk down and on the way back and was very pleased to see him fly by  with a fish firmly in his beak. This proves that his plan "b" works well and he is catching fish even when the Brook is in flood. The highlight of the walk had to be this Little Egret. In actual fact there are two, at extreme ends of the brook. This one seems to be a little more approachable but I wouldn't ever call it tame.

In the garden this morning we had a Blackcap, a dozen or so Goldfinch and a single Coal Tit on the feeder.
