Suddenly at around 1:45 the rain stopped and the sun came out as bright as a summers day. I quickly rushed to Topsham to try and get better Spotted Sandpiper photos in the bright and promising conditions, a window of opportunity I think you would call it. At first when I got there I was totally alone and this was just the chance I had been waiting for. I quickly spotted the bird which was a bonus and it continued to show really well for the hour or so that I was there. After a while Dave Stone and then Andy Bond arrived and we all had really good views and got great photos. I thought that these pic were going to be really special, perhaps they are or perhaps not. I will let you decide.
