Beer is rapidly turning in to one of my favourite places both to visit and to bird watch. There is so much to see, again, both bird wise and generally. So with a free day I thought I would take a punt with the weather and head out there yet again to try my luck.
It was really worth it and I can honestly say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. Black Redstarts were easy to see with an individual around the fishermens pots. Further along on the cliffs there was another 3. I arrived at around 11.15 and stayed until past 3, almost the entire day. I even enjoyed a nice dinner of Pie and Chips from the "chippy" in the main street, it doesn't get much better than that!
The image. above is one of the Cliff birds. The one below obviously on the pots.

It was one of those days when it almost all went right but when the light was perfect I couldn't get close enough to get really good shots. Then later in the afternoon there was a particularly accommodating bird on the pots but by then the light had faded. Hence the "grainy" images.
I took lots of shots of Rock Pipits which I will post tomorrow but as I stood there getting some crackers of this species which I am quite fond of, a Redstart appeared just above me and peered down at me.

Then it flew to the concrete path really close but not in the most photogenic of places unfortunately.
