My new perches set up yesterday paid off within 20 minutes this morning when a Kingfisher perched on it right in front of me and in reasonable light. I took lots of photos. I noticed quite quickly that this was a different bird that I had seen previously. The male photographed yesterday had an all black bill and was showing moulting tail feathers. This one was a spanking female, slightly less bright and with an orange patch on the bill as you can see. Then after she had left a wren came for a look around at this new perch!Wren1a
