Today we had the promise of good bright weather and I was hopeful of getting some good images of either the Kingfisher or Grey Wagtail but unfortunately that didn’t happen. I had just decided to call it a day after 2 hours of waiting…….. only so much you can take when nothing is happening. The expected, or should I say anticipated photo would have been so good.Folding everything down, this Common Darter landed on the log where I had been waiting for the Grey Wagtail who had refused to oblige even though he was up stream about 20 yards away for a while.
A Black Headed Gull landed nearby and I couldn’t resist taking a few photos.
