On this morning’s early morning walk it was good to see a few species that I have seen already as well as one new one for the trip, a Red Shouldered Blackbird.
Turkey Vultures were gliding and soarng around in thestrong wind and eventually they settled on the ground to look for scraps. They do look a little bit like Turkeys on the ground. They have very ugly red bare skinned faces but their plumage is very nice.

I saw the male Yellow -Bellied Sapsucker again this morning. He was on exaly the same tree as befor but not quite so approachable. There was also a female. This bird has no red o the throat unlike the male so it was easy to tell them apart. At one time they were together and flew away to a safe distance.
