There will come a day sometime in the future when I get a good photograph of a Dipper, but today wasn't that day. To quote Barrack Obama "On this day, at this time……..etc the Dipper was again in the shade!" Everytime I see them they are always in the shade hiding near to the opposite bank and not playing ball. We have had quite a frustrating day really because I have been out to look for the Little Owl at Dunchideok with no success, then my real reason for being next to the River Teign was in the hope of seeing a Lesser Spotted Woodpwecker… that didn't happen either and then we went on to Dartmoor to try to find the reported Great Grey Shrike and no luck there either. Thank heavens we actually saw the Dipper or it would have been a complete disaster.
