Eventually the sun came out and in the brightness I managed to get a good shot of a female Siskin from the comfort of my pop-up hide with the light in the right direction. They absolutely adore Sunflower hearts and my advice to anyone wanting to attract siskins in to the garden would be to offer them. They will eat Niger and other seeds but will always prefer sunflower hearts of offered a choice.
