SCHAT 1
Stonechts are still at Exminster Marsh. This male was more interested in finding food than my presence infact I think he saw me as perhaps a food source and at one time was just a metre from me. The light was very harsh and these shots reflect that.
SCHAT 2
This is a Greenshank seen feeding in Cockwood Harbour along with Redshank, Black tailed Godwit, Dunlin and Curlew. The RSPB Web Site tells me that there are just 701 over-wintering Greenshank in the UK. Can that be correct? First of all 701……… how do they arrive at these rather exact figures, as it’s a bird I see constantly here in Devon, well I think they should look a bit harder and count more accurately.
