Well I have tried to get some photos today but without success. The feeders are very quiet and the weather cold with showers. We have had a lot of activity from Blackbirds in the vicinity and also a Robin was seen in the garden feeding on the sunflower hearts which have been spilled from the feeders. Sparrows were seen in the front garden, now worth mentioning as we as a nation are experiencing a massive decline in this species, 67% in the last few years.
Jackdaws could be heard and that was about it. I am keeping my eyes peeled for the first Blackcap Warblers of the year, last year they were regulars to the garden but I failed to record any really worthwhile images. The Blue Tit photo, above, is one from a visit a few days.
