The Migrant Hawker is an impressive Dragonfly. This one was photographed today in a lane, but close to water on Exminster Marsh. I was even able to pick it up without doing him any harm, and had a really good look at him before he perched on my hand and then flew off again safely.
Also today very good views of 2 Wood Sandpiper and a few Green Sandpipers, the photo is o a Green in flight as well as this photo of a Black Tailed Godwit coming in to join it’s flock on a pool.
