We are in the midst of low pressure and overcast damp weather. Not good for photos or wildlife watching at all except it does make Swifts and Martins fly lower. I have been reading about taking photos in low light conditions with high ISO settings and then using software to correct the “noisy” images. So I went out deliberately to take some photos in these bad conditions to see what could be achieved. So there I am snapping away at a Sedge Warbler when he was suddenly joined by this Cetti’s , probably a hen. I took some quick shots while it posed really well. With some shots in the camera I came home as quick as possible to have a look at the results and see what I could get from them. The Cetti’s had posed the best of the spring so far, so I was hopeful and excited. Well here are the results, not as good as I would like but that’s “Murphy’s” law. If only I had had the camera set up as normal then I would probably have got the “magic” shot that I am looking for. But then you judge. As a conclusion to this post and an edit. It turns out my Cetti’s turns out to be a Reed Warbler and not the Cetti’s. must be going mad! Still a good look at the Reed agian which are just as hard to catch a glimpse of here on Exminster Marsh than the Cetti’s.
