So here we are in March after a very bearable winter which has hardly been cold and then today we had a flurry of snow! It soon turned to rain but we were left with a bitter wind. In between the showers I went out to our local RSPB reserve, Exminster Marsh which is literally 1 mile from home, to have a look at the Waders and Ducks. Teal and Shovelers were showing well and also a Tufted Duck which although not rare, I havn’t seen before at Exminster. I took a couple of photos of a Curlew which I hope you enjoy, they are new on my gallery just click on the link to see them “Other Devon Birds”
In the Garden we have had lots of birds again. Godfinch, Greenfinch, Chaffinch, Dunnocks, Collared Dove, Wood Pigeon, Starling, Blue and Great Tit, Blackbirds and the Male Blackcap. Still strugling for a good photo of a Greenfinch. We had a Bumblebee in the house for a while. It was either a White Tailed or Buff Tailed with a noticeable lightly striped tail. It had flown in through the open window and was trapped inside. I obviously released it but didn’t fancy getting stung. Imgp0305
