The last few days have been wet and cold. With temperatures around 6 degrees. Insect activity has been almost zero with nothing to report except a White Tailed Bumble Bee Bombus Lucorum feeding on the Winter Jasmine. No birds of note except a Wren, not seen but heard very close in the conifers. A Magpie exhibited some very interesting behaviour, I watched as it moved from house to house opposite checking under the eaves of the houses and around doors for what I assumed to be insects and or spiders.
