A brilliant cloudless blue sky at 10 o’clock but very cold after a touch of frost overnight. Birds: Blackbird, Herring gull, Wren (very close but unseen, singing and calling)! Still lots of insect activity on the Ivy blossoms by the upper pond. These included 2 magnificent Red Admirals, the 2 species of Bumble Bee previously recorded. Wasps, the ubiqitous Drone flies and a Common Striped Hoverfly plus a Shield Bug. Everything seen today has been a regular recent visitor once the sun shines brightly.
Late observations: Carrion Crow (pair) Magpie, Robin, Collared Dove (not seen for a while)Red_admiral_nov_12
