A ridiculously warm day for November with sunshine throughout brought out lots of insect activity particularly around the top pond. These included various hoverflies including an as yet unidentified balck and white species. (ID confirmed now as Platycheirus albimanus) Also in evedence, a Queen wasp, Drone Flies, Shied Bug palomina prasina,(2nd record of the year). Red Admiral Butterfly, (obligingly settling on me)! Ladybird sp.
